Thoughts to Ponder:1,000 Post Edition

NOPE! LMAO!! No longer MY teams concern! NOW he is HD's headache...!!:D:D

Please don't use such disparaging comments to describe our new defensive coordinator. You got enough problems with your own team. You ever think the Raiders may have controlled the strings on what Rob Ryan was able to do in Oakland? Give the man a chance. His pedigree certainly shows that the man is capable of making sound defensive decisions. I like the choice.

Whatever...!! LMAO!! That is YOUR story and your sticking to it..... good luck!:haha:haha:haha

All I am gonna say is....we AIN'T taking him back...!:D

Minor clarification after a quick Wiki search: Marshall was an ASSISTANT Linebackers coach for those 49ers. Sounds risky. :)

John Marshall (born October 2, 1945) is an American football coach for the Oakland Raiders. He currently serves as a defensive coordinator for the Oakland Raiders.

Marshall, a coaching veteran of over 40 years, is mostly associated with coaching linebackers. He earned 2 Super Bowl rings during his time with the San Francisco 49ers, where he was an assistant.

Marshall coached linebackers for the Detroit Lions in 2002, where he was on the staff of Steve Mariucci. Marshall had previously served as defensive coordinator under Mariucci with the San Francisco 49ers in 1997 and 1998.

He was linebacker coach with Mariucci AT DETROIT.;)

WHO is John Roberts? He also won a couple of Super Bowl rings...so he can't be that bad.

Just because you get a ring, it doesn't cement your legacy or prove your worth. Hell, everyone on the practice squad of the winning team gets a ring. Tell me, how much did the assistant linebackers coach have to do with winning a Super Bowl? ;) :)

He was the Defensive Coordinator.....! He was THE defensive coordinator for a 13-3 and 12-4 football team.....
