Today's the one-year anniversary of the bizarro Browns/Ravens game.

Fittingly, the day after Phil Dawson's 56-yard kick is the one-year anniversary of his most famous field goal.

I thought Chicago made a HUGE mistake in letting Belle leave.

He averaged 39.5 homers, 134 RBI, and a .301 average with Chicago... and he didn't need steroids!

HD, you remember Fat Albert... right?

Yes. Not a good character guy at all with many mental issues. But a great hitter none the less. Unfortunately in Cleveland, he will always be remembered by his antics rather than his accomplishments.

One of the most famous occurred at his home on a Halloween night. Kids threw eggs at his house. Belle stormed out of his house and proceeded to run the kids down in his car. Belle proceeded to bump one of the vandals with his car.

He was called "Joey" Belle at LSU. In 1986, he went after some ahole in the stands who was shouting racist insults at him. That got him suspended when LSU played in the College World Series. They could've used him. :(

Joey was always a hot head. I still have his rookie card that's titled: "Joey Belle"
