Things are not looking good, but a smidgent of hope still

Things are not looking too good at this final hours of reckoning, and I'm afraid that a huge disappointment looms come tomorrow.

The smidgen of hope is that of the 35 new HD channels promised, only16 are definitively accounted for (12 new RSNs, 1 ABC Family, 2 Showtimes, and 1 Green). Over at the DBStalk, they are saying to expect at least 7 new PPVs, so potentially there are still 12 new HD channels unaccounted for.

What could these channels be if not a bunch of HBO/Cinemax? I guess hope springs eternal.

I'd be major pissed if D* ended up adding more than 10 PPVs.

If DirecTV adds just the channel that they've announced tomorrow I won't be pi**ed, they're doing what they said. However if one or two months down the road they haven't added the HBO/Cinemax channels that they announced as being added LAST YEAR then I will be pi**ed. If you can believe Satelliteracer (a proven D* source over at DBStalk) he's said the PPV's are just place holders at this time and more channels will be coming, since he's been spot on in the past I'm hoping that he continues to be right.
