Here are a few issues I have seen frequently enough to be annoying: (I have two Hoppers and no Joeys)
I am also curious if anyone else has noticed along the left half of the bottom edge of the picture a number of dots or specks develop. They go away after reset. Then re-appear over time. These specks appear on both Hoppers. One uses an HDMI connection, the other a composite connection.
- Auto Hop is frequently not applied to eligible programs. Either all or some of the programs for a evening.
- For PTAT programs for which there is a timer created to save new programs. If a new episode of a program is shown then re-shown later in the same week, the program will be saved on the second showing as well as the first. A current example of this is “Revolution”. Episode 5 was aired on Monday 10/15/2012 (it was marked as a new episode). It is also scheduled to be re-shown on Saturday 10/20/2012 (it is correctly not marked as a new episode). The Saturday showing will be placed in “My Recordings”. This should not be the case as it is not a “new” episode.
- Given two linked Hoppers. Call them Hopper A and Hopper B. Periodically if I attempt to watch a program recorded on Hopper B from Hopper A. Rather that the selected program being played, I will see the video from one Hopper A tuner and the hear audio from another tuner on Hopper A. Resetting Hopper A resolves this condition.
- When watching a program that is being recorded. When I catch up to “Live TV” (I either paused or started view sometime after the recording started), the video at times freeze with the “Live TV”/”>” (Play) icons flipping back and forth. Stopping the playback then re-selecting (Live TV) will correct the playback.
