There Is Now No Chance George RR Martin's Books Will Outrun HBO's 'Game of Thrones'http://www.forbes.com/sites/insertc...artner&utm_campaign=yahootix&partner=yahootix

Who's seriously surprised by this news?

There are no real good answers here. No one wants Martin to rush and produce sub-par work. But him telling his story through the TV show first and the books second seems like a sad turn as well. That may very well be what has to happen, however, and for the first time, book readers and show watchers will be surprised and shocked together, as the show moves into completely uncharted territory.

If only the Walking Dead had the same problem with their comics & the TV show, huh?;)

Game of Thrones: Winter's arrived and someone left the door open ... https://www.yahoo.com/news/game-of-thrones-winters-arrived-and-someone-left-102907692.html
With some characters discarded from the entire series altogether and their stories being played out by others, we can’t even begin to speculate who’ll come and go in Series 6.We know that new characters played by Richard E Grant and Ian McShane are on their way, with suggestions that Grant could be appearing in Arya’s storyline, playing Izembaro, the leader of a mummers group, while McShane has famously been accused of leaking info - not that he cares much, basically telling people to get a life - “it’s only tits and dragons!” And then letting slip that he’s (probably) killed off at the end of his one episode …One of the changes that made me shake a fist at George was Sansa’s storyline. While she did suffer at the hands of Joffrey, her eventual escape to the Eyrie meant she was comparatively safe. And then they threw her right back in lion’s den with an even more sadistic, power hungry monster.

HBO unwraps three intimate new scenes from Game of Thrones season 6 https://www.yahoo.com/tech/hbo-unwraps-three-intimate-scenes-011312477.html
HBO wants to keep fans all but bleeding out in sheer anticipation of the Game of Thrones premiere next weekend, and true to that effort, it has released three telling new clips from the show’s mysterious sixth season. Each of the three clips reveals a look at starkly different emotional moments from across the mystical land of Westeros (and perhaps beyond). The short, but richly-drawn scenes include an intimate conversation between Cersei and Jaime Lannister, a check-in with Sansa Stark and Reek/Theon Greyjoy, and a revealing look at Daenerys Targaryen.Spoiler alert: If you’re not caught up through season five, or you just want to go into season six fresh, turn away now!

Game of Thrones Season 6: 10 Biggest Clues from Trailer #2 http://screenrant.com/game-of-thrones-season-6-trailer-2-best-clues-easter-eggs/
But this new trailer, of course, is the biggest reveal yet, giving us even more hints than we’ve ever gotten before. That means this collection of 10 New Clues from the Second Game of Thrones Trailer is the most exhilarating yet.(Don’t worry – we promise there are no spoilers from what few unused sections of the novels are still floating around out there, waiting to be committed to the small screen. There will be, however, plenty of informed speculation, so be prepared for that.)As has been consistently teased for the past month now, it looks as if the fallout at the Wall, after Lord Commander Jon Snow’s (Kit Harington) sworn brothers assassinate him (or is that attempt to assassinate him?), will play a major part in the overarching narrative, at least at the beginning of the season. And what fallout it is. Lord Davos Seaworth (Liam Cunningham), the late King Stannis Baratheon’s (Stephen Dillane) Hand, rallies some crows that look to still be loyal to their former lord commander – or, perhaps, they’re more against traitorous Night’s Watch members as opposed to being strictly loyal to Jon – and stand guard over his body at the very least. At the very most, they could lead a retaliatory strike against the conspirators (remember, back in the fourth season, Lord Snow himself led an expedition to Craster’s Keep in order to execute the mutineering brothers, who happened to have murdered the previous lord commander). Either way, it seems as if some more bodies will be hitting the floor, especially considering that Ghost, Jon’s direwolf (who hasn’t been seen since episode 507!), is present and looking mighty hungry. He’ll be on the hunt for some vengeance of his own.

One Game Of Thrones Character's Mystery Fate Has Finally Been Revealed http://www.cinemablend.com/televisi...ry-Fate-Has-Finally-Been-Revealed-131107.html
Game of Thrones often leaves fans mourning characters that shuffled off Westeros’ mortal coil, enough so that it was a change of pace to have spent the 9+ months between seasons actually questioning whether one or two of those deaths happened or not. But all things Jon Snow aside, fans have been actively wondering just what in the hell actually happened to Arya’s sword (or “dancing”) teacher Syrio Forel since his last appearance in Season 1. Well, have a seat, because here’s what showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss told the optimistic actress Maisie Williams. No, he is dead.So many hopes and dreams crushed. So many fan fictions made irrelevant. So many Photoshopped Harlequin romance novel covers with Syrio’s face on them no longer quite so non-depressing.

'Game of Thrones': A Power Ranking of the Deadliest Fantastical Creatures in Westeros https://www.yahoo.com/tv/39-game-of-thrones-39-a-power-1412009629573174.html
As viewers count down the days to Game of Thrones’ return, we here at Yahoo TV are launching our official countdown: #GoTIsComing. Check back here every day over the next month as we explore all of our favorite (and a few of our least favorite) people, places, and things about television’s most addictive show. From Direwolves and Dragons to the shows most hideous deaths and imperiled characters, we’re going to indulge or GoT obsession with the same fervor that Cersei imbibes alcohol. So raise a glass and toast the impending arrival of a long, cruel, and bloody Westerosi winter.A game is just sport, and what’s a sport without rankings? As magic blossoms in Westeros, there are plenty of creatures to keep track of, and we have them all* listed here, from least to most terrifying. Who would you bet on in the bear pits of Harrenhal? Here’s your Game of Thrones equivalent of a daily racing form.* There are a few creatures we’ve yet to see on the show that are, as of now, still considered legendary. Among them, ice dragons, Krakens (the sigil for House Greyjoy), and sea dragons are all things that, given what we know now (dragons were extinct until the end of Season 1, after all), actually stand a good chance of existing. Will their possible appearance in the final seasons affect the balance of power?
