1. I still do not believe in Rex Ryan as a head coach of a Super Bowl champion, but I have to admit he cracks me up. He keeps the upper hand on the NY media, which very few managers/coaches have been able to do without sucking up to them. Rex is defiant at every step.

2. The Vikings should play outdoors all the time. Make it happen, Zig-man!

3. The Giants punt coverage...jeesh. The Sal Alosi chorus line does a better job.

4. I love Jason Terry. What a fantastic player. Drives teams crazy. Right on the verge of superstardom.

5. Tom Brady is a generational talent...but he needs like four haircuts.

6. What up Orlando? Looked very strange on the court last night against Atlanta.

7. Ray Hudson, the soccer analyst on GolTV English version, is amazing to listen to. Every telecast, especially those involving Real Madrid or Barcelona, is a treat.

8. Last night David Backes of the Blues and one of the Canucks are going to the boards and the Canucks player is high sticked. Turns out on replay his own stick went into the boards and he butt-ended himself in the face, but the refs assumed it was Backes's stick, so he got the penalty. There were three minutes left in the game and Vancouver was up one, they scored on the power play and effectively ended the game.

The St Louis announcers (John Kelly and Darren Pang) are two of the best and they handled the entire situation with objectivity and class. They said it was bad luck, people have to remember the Blues sometimes get bad calls that also go their way...and such is life. I can think of MANY hockey and basketball announcers who would have gone ballistic in that situation and blamed everything on the refs. And perhaps even a few posters...you know who you are!

9. May sound silly, but I love how Jack Edwards describes hockey fights like it's a heavyweight championship bout (and another right...and ANOTHER right!). Funny as heck, and he gets just as excited when a Bruin is getting hit as when one is doing the hitting.

But Edwards is one of those announcers who would have gone ballistic about a bad call that looks like it decides a game. I'm looking at you too, Mickey Redmond and Jeff Rimer.

10. ......aaaaaaaaaaaand Potvin still sucks. He just does.

11. Anyone who thinks there was the remotest chance Zach Greinke was going to come to the Yankees (or the Red Sox or the Phillies or the Mets) is not paying close enough attention.

12. Anyone see the NFL Films show on Vernon Davis? Amazing. From showing him do super-human things at the combine to his relationship with Singletary to his involvement with the US curling team, every second was interesting.

13. How about the Lombardi show on HBO? Anyone? Buehler? Anyone? MUCH more to the man than what I thought going in.

14. Wow, there are so many weak teams in the NBA. The Knicks ran off like 12 or 14 in a row by beating a lot of them...and the Knicks are one of the weak teams!

15. Anyone root for their country of ancestry when they play the USA in any sport? Not me. I would even root for Lebron against Italy in basketball. Four years ago the US played Italy in the World Cup, and I was outraged that the guy I was dating at the time said he was rooting for Italy. 'I'm Italian' he said, which , even though I'm full blooded, I followed with 'WELL I'M AMERICAN!!!' That one didn't last long.

16. Gonna miss being in Cabo at a beach bar on New Years Day
getting a bunch of Australians and everyone else in the bar going crazy for the Buckeyes. That was fun.

17. Well my wedding dress came back for first fitting and it's MUCH more low cut than when I first tried it on months ago. Cleavage is one thing, but this made me look like an Amsterdam hooker in the window. I think not. For the insane amount this dress is costing, it better be exactly right.

18. Up to around 430 wedding guests. The over/under is 500, and don't bet on the under just yet. Changed banquet facilities twice because we keep outgrowing them. Twelve limos. Twelve freaking limos. Four bazillion flowers and counting. There are two towns on the Amalfi Coast where the last one out is going to have to turn out the lights before they head to America. Five brothers walking me down the aisle. Still haven't figured out the logistics on that one. I'm gonna have a long train and I see us all going down like a bunch of Fraziers. At my brother's house last week, three sisters-in-law, me and my mom planning things...AGAIN...and my little niece says 'why are weddings so complicated?' Amen to that!!!

If my poor sweetheart survives this, he'll survive anything.

19. Ranger fans getting carried away as usual because of a few wins...I guess they're no different from fans of any other team in any sport. But some have started talking about Staal and Girardi being the best shut down d-men in the league. Clearly they need to watch more hockey than just the Rangers.

20. I'm probably the last person to be a cheerleader for my teams on here, which is ironic because I'm probably the only poster here who actually WAS a cheerleader in high school!

Happy Holidays to all!!!

He's only been around two years, and he's already more popular with Jet fans than Mangini ever was.

The Giants never should have allowed it to come to that in the first place.

4. I love Jason Terry. What a fantastic player. Drives teams crazy. Right on the verge of superstardom.
Dallas is my pick to win the West.

Atlanta's not the little sisters of the poor. If Orlando wanted an easy start with their revamped team, they should have play the Washington Generals.

How do you say 'Goal' in Spanish?

The worst kind of hockey announcers are those that are monotone. I'll take a guy like Jack Edwards over the drab and boring anyday.

The Isles still can't win to save their lives. I'm sure that's an early Christmas gift for you.

From one small-market team to another. Not often you see that.

At least they're finally making the water-coolers for what they do on the court after all the Isiah woes.

Does that mean Ohio State will lose their BCS game? They snapped their drought when you were in Cabo.

I had no idea you were getting married. Congrats.

And yet compared to the other hockey teams in New York, they're probably the best team. My Sabres stink, and we all know about the Isles.

Give me an S. Give me an A. Give me an N...

1 - I like Ryan. He is fun. Too many coaches think that they are brain surgeons or jet pilots (no pun intended) and they have to be dour. Its sports. Have fun.

2 - The Metrodome was an attempt to get a stadium "on the cheep", covering the Twins, Vikings, and Gophers, and getting the NCAAs now and then. With new stadiums for the university and baseball, there is little reason to build a big dome for just pro football. A well designed outdoor stadium (with pleny of indoor suites and a covered and heated concession area, would be logical.

15 - No. Cannot imagine that. Cannot imagine feeling any type of allegiance to anyplace in Europe because some remote relative lived there, maybe a dozen generations ago.
