That is probably the only way that Dish Network can get back to you in a reasonable amount of time.

Dish network VP for programing a so call Hispanic Jew has his head all the way up his 4th point of contact. There is the reason why they are loosing lots of Latino Customers. To give them the shot of grace. They do not even carry AzTeca America TV. Go figure!!! :
PS. I hope they stop calling. LIKE HELL I am coming Back!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sarang said:First off with your joking ocnier why bother? West and East coast feeds, aside from local HD channels are a bloody waste. Sure I like seeing something I missed on the West feed of a national channel but it isn't going to kill me and I say tough sh*t to all the West Coasters who would whine about it. I don't have a DVR and I'm certainly not going to bitch terribly if Dish would dump Nick West, Disney Channel West, TMC and TMC Xtra West and so on. I should shut up and get over it because DVR's exist and the East/West coast feed issue is mute now considering them.
Seriously if Dish would dump these maybe I could see true HD on the movie channels. I say dump HBO2 W and HBO W if that would free up needed space though I admit I'd LOVE to get HBO Zone. I mean think of it this way, you pull those HBO channels, put the 110 one's on the 119 to free up space for HBO-HD, same for Showtime HD. Also besides the movie channels maybe enough space could be freed up maybe not to deal with the VOOM problem but we could see INHD and INHD2 added or one of those even.
In terms of people mentioning bandwidth I don't see the problem since Dish isn't the satellite provider that has to shut off all their PPV to carry HD Sunday Ticket.
Oh yeah and in terms of VOOM I WAS planning on getting it but screw that now. I'm really disappointing seeing Dish going the way of FoxTV. Some Korean channels get taken from Dish and now they make this dumb move. I will be very bitter if Dish doesn't fix Monsters considering about the only other channel, NON HD, that would fill my gills for Horror and even then it has to SHARE time, is Showtime Beyond.
SummitAdvantageRetailer said:D* doesn't EVEN have TV Azteca. No Centroamerica TV either. In my town, E*'s the way to go if you have decent credit and D* to go if you have no social security #. So I'm sorry, I don't follow your logic. The Latino programming customers still favor DISH over DirecTV by a large margin (around here). I'll have to say that the margin has gotten steadily smaller over the past year with some channel acquisitions like TV Columbia and only $150/$200 credit fee requirement for up to 4 receivers. But anyway, that's all I'll say about that.
With regards to this topic, how come I don't see anybody else say that they'd rather have downrezzzed picture quality in exchange for more HD channels right away? I mean, I for one, would not since the rest of the Voom and ESPN 2 HD isn't worth the quality sacrifice but I'm surprised I haven't seen that side of the camp voiced yet.

If memory serves, they were initially 1920x1080i but were dropped down to 1440x1080i due to TP space limitations on Rainbow-1. The assumption was that all HD would go back to 1920x1080i once they were using the SES Americom bird in conjunction with MPEG-4, the bigger dish, and their infamous HD DVR/Whole Home Networking solution.BFG said:Well when the voom channels were on voom they were "HD-Lite" with only being 1440x1080i. If dish went from 1280 to 1440 would that make you happy
riffjim4069 said:"Dish Network is proud to bring you all 21 VOOM HD Network Originals starting in January. Unlike our competition, Dish Network is known for providing both the most AND highest quality HD possible to you, our loyal subscriber. However, due to space limitation on our existing fleet of satellites, we are forced to downrez the VOOM channels until more space is made available. While the VOOM channels will not "technically" be true High Definition, the picture quality will still be excellent and, in fact, only the most discerning eye will be able to tell the difference. Rest assured that downrezzing of VOOM HD is a temporary solution. Dish Network is working to add a state-of-the-art satellite, EchoStar10, to it's existing fleet of satellites and we hope to place it into service during the summer. Once EchoStar10 is fully tested and operation, it is our goal to restore all VOOM channels to full bitrate High Definition for your entertainment enjoyment. Thank you and blah, blah, blah."

I apologize for not reading all (5) pages, in case it's already been mentioned, but which cable companies are cheating cutomers with less-than-standard HD resolution ??Sean Mota said:More and providers, Satellite/Cable are cheating consumers
