The state of your team(s)

Florida Gators (football) what can I say. Meyer is a genious and Teabow really is superman..

Florida Gators (BasketBall) not a bad start, not sure if they can make the final four but they will be fun to watch. Next year even better with a very good recruiting class coming in.

Tampa Bay Bucs -- What can I say they are the bucs... Hopefully The lions break the bucs record ;)

Florida Marlins -- About time to buy another title lets open up the wallets!

Orlando Predetors -- wtf no AFL season :(

Minnesota Twins...next year may be tough but last year in the B.I.T. (big inflatable toilet)

Vikes....hopefully NFC North Champs and a playoff win

Wolfies....ugh!

Wild......double ugh! last place right now

University of Minnesota Duluth Bulldog Hockey...doing pretty good after 1st 1/2 of season....5th place in 10 team league...tough games ahead....they were predicted to finish 8th so home playoff game is in sight.....2 years away from new arena. Then they can get out of the decrepit old DECC (Duluth Entertainment & Convention Center)...dont get me wrong. The arena is a dump...but its OUR dump (oldest arena in the WCHA by a long shot..opened in 1966)

University of Minnesota Duluth Bulldog Football...DII CHAMPIONS!!!! 1ST TIME EVER!!

This makes me a happy Bulldog fan :D

I guess that the "my friend" jab was directed at me, I'll play:

Oakland Raiders: All that hate the Raiders and all that love the Raiders know full well that until the Crypt Keeper dies and the team is yanked from his "cold, dead hands.....", the team will be considered a doormat....if ya keep sending players to wars with slingshots and knives....and everyone is carry automatic weapons and bazookas, you have no chance in hell...and less in the NFL.

Miami Heat: My adopted team is improving, well hell, when you only win 13 out of 82 games...the year after cannot get any worse. D. Wade is not the best player in the league, but he IS having an MVP type season in the early stages of the season.

Philadelphia 76ers: My original team. Improved by keeping most of the core, getting an extension to the NEW I.A. and bringing in Elton Brand...but the play has been sloppy and Dalembert....a budding star, has pulled a Jimmy Hoffa and has disappeared this year. Unfortunate, that Mo' Cheeks had to pay for the lack of response by the team, but he was not motivating/gearing up....whatever you wanna call it....the team.

Florida Marlins: UNTIL that stadium is built and the crooked, bull**** South Florida politicians get this stadium deal complete.....they will stay they same as they were last year.....good enough to compete and scare people...but that's it. The team is "warning track power" when it comes to the big guys of the division like the Phillies and the Mets. Sad really, because in my opinion, NOBODY has a better starting five in the majors....nobody.

Miami Hurricanes football: Ahhh...the "Baby 'Canes".....Damn do I see them looking VERY good next year, almost 1 year ahead of schedule. Next year, the BEST of a VERY up and coming ACC football conference is The U, UNC and FSU. And let me tell ya little secret.....the 'Canes awesome recruiting class of 2009 is suppose to be BETTER than the 2008 class!! Randy Shannon is still green when it comes to coaching, but the is not a better recruiter in Florida and definately one of the top 10 best recruiters in the country.....:D:D:D

Syracuse Orangemen BB: The loss last night was just a burp....took a half court prayer to beat them. They are strong, young and deep. They will win about 25 games in the BEST and COMPLETE BB conference in the country....sorry ACC, the "Beast that is the Big East" is back!!:D:D:D

Having my teams scattered all of the country is the product of CONSTANT moving.....

They'll win the World Series.

They do it every six years- 1997, 2003- and this year will be no different.

Now calling someone 'my friend' is a jab?

You are way too sensitive. Lighten up a bit.

Thanks for playing tho.

Sandra

OH ...this is rich, you get your thong all twisted in a knot because I called you "little sister"..when in reality, you ARE a little sister....and are calling ME sensitive??!!

ROFLMAO!!!:haha:haha:haha

The jab was not what you called me....I have been called worse...but the whole comment of:

OK, this is partly in response to my friend who thinks I hate when someone says something bad about my teams...

Was definately a jab at me, so please spare the "what? who me?" act.....LOL!

49ers: Another disappointing year, but for the first time in a while there seems to be a better tomorrow coming. Mike Singletary seems to have lit a fire under that team's ass that has been LONG LONG needed. If Hill can develop as a good QB and Bruce's influence on the WRs continues we may finally have a legitimately good team come out as NFC West Division Winners, not teams that just win by simply stinking the least amongst the huge pile of sh*t.

Bulls: Team always has great potential but they never form a solid unit when needed. They fired Scott Skiles last year which I thought was a big mistake and didn't bring in a good coach to replace him. Hopefully Rose can become the leader of that team, because the team has been in DESPERATE need of a real leader for about 3 years. They have a bunch of good "accessory" players (Deng, Gordon, Heinrich, Nocioni) but none of them have taken that "leader" role. It's hard to believe that just a few years ago the team swept the previous year's NBA champions and then were 2 games away from the Eastern Conference Finals. I definitely don't regret not re-upping my NBA: LP this year.

Actually, I like the 49ers make-up and I think they are very up and coming. The Bulls are not too far off either. About leadership, you are right, there is none...amazing how some of these guys show alot of leadership skills in college and the moment they get to the next level...they almost find a corner and go into a fetal position and disappear...

They also need more size.

The Bulls are set at the front court with Rose and Gordon. (Hughes is a cancer. Trust me). I'm really impressed with Rose so far though and Gordon is a great scorer.

I would have Deng and Gooden at the Forward spot.

Joakim should be nothing more than an energy bench player.

You're biggest need is a true center or enforcer down low. Until that happens, the Bulls won't be able to mash with the big boys.

I just hope the Bulls "core" stays together, because having a bunch of really good accessory players means you don't have to rely on just 1 or 2 players and it's harder for a defense to easily shut them down. It's too bad that Ben Wallace didn't pan out as a good leader (or center for that matter.)

Actually, how long was Ben Wallace on the team? I think it could have worked well if given a chance. I guess since we have become a 'what have you done for me lately' society of sports fans....there isn't the patients within team management to let continuity grow....:(

It was a 4 year deal that lasted about 2 years. Don't forget, he was injured a LOT and also played like a shadow of his great defensive self that he was in Detroit. It also didn't help that his FT % was worse than Shaq's.

I liked Ben Wallace....I think people missed the point, especially the Bulls brass( no pun intended....LOL) that they at 1st KNEW they could not depend on his offense and he was SUPPOSEDLY signed for his defense and rebounding. I mean that is what Detroit did...and it worked GREAT for them. Then suddenly, they bitched about his offense....has he EVER been known for offense??!!

I think if they would have JUST let him played defense and rebound...and just about nothing else...they had plenty of guys that started AND came off the bench that could have done the scoring.

Just like the days when the Bulls had Rodman....they knew they did NOT need him to score....and ALL they asked was rebound and play defense. THAT brass, "got it"....

You really need to relax. You get all in a tizzy over the slightest comment.

Let's see:

Mets - went to the Bellaigo, came out punching and then decided to retire from the ring by no pursuing 1 single left handed pitcher . . . new stadium, same old disappointing team

Giants - snow, ice, rain and heavy winds will slow the Panthers to a crawl and we will stumble into the playoffs; after that, who knows? a healthy jacobs culd get us over the top again

Duke Blue Devils - was feeling good till the MIchigan loss

the school I teach at one it's second SuperBowl of all time and coincidentally, it's second one now in as many years! Go Beavers!

Sandra gave the verdict on the Rangers and Knicks!

You're the first Met fan I've heard from who is down on Omar's off-season to date. They already have the best left hander in the game, and they addressed their bullpen problems. I was never a Wagner fan anyway, a lot of people forget the bullpen started blowing leads before he got hurt.

I was thinking they should add a bat just for the sake of change, but I like their team as they head to Taxpayer Field.

Sandra

K-Rod . . . I like his addition but scared . . . AL West is not the NL East . . . and then let's look at our starters . . . oh wait, we still need some . . . all I am saying is that Minaya started out great at Winter Meetings, but he now needs to bring it home and get if not one, then at least two quality starters till I am happy! Not fun when you watch Phillies add another bat; or when you when you watch the Yanks spend as if they are playing Monopoly!
