The Road to the 2005 World Series

Padres lost again and are 2-0 in the series. The Padres may break the Divisional Major League series of hitting into double plays. The record is 8 and they already hit into 7 double plays in two games. 3 in the first one and 4 today. This may be worth watching.

What a weekend of baseball where The BoSox get swept, The Braves get eliminated by poor running, bad defense, bad calls, and not hitting in the clutch, and the Yankees/Angels go for elimination game tonight. First post updated.

Another year...another fine playoff run by the Bravos! :D

The Yanks will win tonights game...the television moguls have already written the script since FOX needs the ratings. ;)

Does Jeter need some tissue? $200+ Million does not buy a championship now a days.. :yes

Higher Payroll does not guarantee championship. Higher payroll guarantees competitive team and a chance to win a championship. Yankees are 0-5 since 2001. They had an amazing run this year since they lost 4/5 of their rotation and had to substitute the rotation with third class pitching like Aaron Small, Shawn Chacon and Wang. No excuses but I think in NY (since we watch the most games) we knew that they were a flawed team with mediocre starting pitching and no middle relief and very good setup and closing relief.

Again Good Pitching stopped good offense.

White Sox on the verge of getting their first win in the 2005 WS....I found the sign "Houston YOU have a problem" funny. Bottom of 9th coming...

The sport of baseball will die a little bit with every white sox win...

If the yankees would get rid of A-rod they'd have a chance. That guy IS cursed, how many times does he have to not show up in the playoffs before they take notice...
