Receiving Equipment Used:
Openbox S9

Cost:
Less then $15

Goal:
To view The Pentagon Channel (HD) on a reused dish 500.

Satellite/Mux:
SES 1
DVB-S 11820 H 20000 3/4

Results:
Everything works just fine. Well that is until the rain or heavy clouds roll by.

Nice project. I did that with the SD signal when it was on 103W, now I guess I should try that HD channel, the dish is still out there-just needs aiming. I like those small dish projects, people just don't know how much tv they are missing, if they just took one of those dishes and put a linear lnbf on it.
 
That's not surprising that it works on a 20-inch; Pentagon HD is on one of the strongest transponders I've ever seen.
