The NEW software is finally being sent and pigs do fly!

The NEW software is finally being sent down!

At least that is what I was told by a tech CSR at Voom.

He stated he is getting technical calls from customers concerning the new software.

He also stated the customers got the software from a satellite download!

He also stated if you have a 550 model receiver you will get the down load.

When asked if I could force the download and he said no.

He also stated the downloads were going out according to your account phone number area code. No order is known.

Maybe a couple of weeks?

I am sure Wilt will update us when its really coming out.

We have played the boy who cried wolf too many times now.

I doubt there is any "software" comming out, "firmware" however should be in two weeks

I wonder if this is coming from the same CSR that earlier told Indy that the existing STBs will be never upgraded at all

CSR's are probably so tired of us asking about the stupid software, that they are telling us that, just to shut us up.

However, having said that, the software/firmware update will be downloaded to everybody tomorrow.
