The New Roku Interface is Live

Manually updated my Roku 2 XD last evening. Didn't realize that I had not used it since February 1st when I changed wireless routers.

Great GUI. Much more user friendly and seems to load the channels faster.

Mine got updated last night - I had to tell it to check though. I have, I think, the Roku 2 (?) XD. It's the one that Dish was giving away....

Got it this morning. Build 5060. Nice to have some choice on PBS stations.

updated mine manually this am.Looks nice, does seem to be faster. The only thing I don't like is the preview window on the right,it makes the channel icons seem squeezed.

I certainly agree! They could add 2 additional columns if it wasn't for the preview window. Plus I would like to see group labels such as "news", "music", "retro", "live streaming", "food", etc.

I had to force update all three of my Roku's today. But they all got updated and it does look better than the previous interfaces. I do agree with the majority of you that it still use some tweaking, but I'm sure those big ads on the interface are being paid for. So don't expect that to go away.

Claude you think everything sucks lately. I have never seena more negative person then you.

I haven't looked at mine yet, but if there's a huge ad on it now, I agree 100% with Claude.....it SUCKS. I'll look at it after work today & decide if I sell the Roku over this.

I only got to fiddle with it for a few minutes last night, but I thought it was pretty good. Certainly nothing I would sell the device over.

I have to admit, I've only looked at the new interface twice, and briefly each time. If there's ads, I didn't see them, of course I've trained my eyes to block them out (just like I do on websites).
