The NBA Finals- It's Lakers vs. Celtics!!

I'm hoping I'm not being a homer in suggesting that the Celtics vs. Cav's Series was the most exciting series in the Eastern playoffs this year. This current NBA Finals matchup has been sooo disappointing on so many different levels.

With that said, I don't think it's too early to note that my Cavaliers have now lost 2 years in a row to the eventual NBA Champions. (Spurs in the Finals last year and Boston this year). Just saying. Maybe next year. 3rd times a charm!

You are being a homer. This series is a coup for the NBA and its fans. AS far as next year goes? fat chance. This Boston Celtics team is growing up in this playoff season and looks like it could win next year as well:

The National Basketball Association finals continue to see a big bounce over last year on ABC, where game three of the series last night was again up by more than a third compared with last year.

The Los Angeles Lakers’ first victory over the Boston Celtics averaged a 4.4 adults 18-49 rating from 9 to 11 p.m., according to Nielsen overnights, up 38 percent over a 3.2 for the equivalent Cleveland Cavaliers-San Antonio Spurs game last year.

The ratings are subject to adjustment when final numbers come out later today. Fast nationals measure primetime timeslot data, not actual program data, and the finals game ran well past 11 p.m. Last year’s game rose to a 3.8 in final ratings.

But the game clearly continued the recent upward trend for the NBA. ABC won or tied for first in every hour of the night en route to its third nightly victory in three NBA finals nights.

Spurs/Hornets and Hawks/Celtics had too many blowouts.

Yes....you are being a homer. It has nothing to do with excitment as much as it has to do with match-ups.

But there is NOTHING wrong with being a homer....EXCEPT when you think your team will win every series in the playoffs.

Seriously, have you ever seen a team that whines like this one? Hey Sasha, where's your comment about the WWE move you tried to pull on Ray Allen late in the fourth quarter? I have so much more respect for the Pistons and Cavs than I do the Fakers.

I was wondering what that stench was. I haven't been following thing series since I am not much of a basketball fan, but I finally tuned into last nights games and changed the channel after a few minutes because LA was killing Boston. Image my surprise after I tuned back to the game after re-watching games 1 & 2 of the Stanley Cup finals; Boston had tied the score late in the 4th quarter. Holy crap!

Anyway, it's hard to cheer for a team whose current leader will be getting sh*t-faced after his team had a meltdown, whose players are throwing tantrums on the bench, and whose greatest player is best known for getting aids from a hooker.

Go Celtics!!!

When these teams benches start performing to their abilities as they have shown in some of the games this is one incredible series with all of the matchups.

With all due respect, no one was calling them the best ever every d$mn game. And those players were not saying they wanted to be the best ever. The arrogance of Kobe and Phil is amazing. The smugness of Jackson when asked about the comeback before the 4th period was just sickening.

However, of all of the teams the Celts played in the playoffs, the point differential was more close in the Cavs series than any other team they faced. In other words, the Cavs gave them the best fight.

So you see, my prediction of the Cavs winning against the Celtics wasn't that far off and was plenty justified.

I'm CONVINCED the Cavs or Pistons would have had the same results against this fraudulent team (I don't usually disrespect my team's opponent like this.........but this Laker team is just so obnoxious). This is not only going to be a victory for the Celtics........it's gonna be a victory for the Eastern Conference- which was dissed all year. And I have NO doubts now, that the three TOUGHEST teams in the NBA reside in the East.

I agree. The Lakers have lost their composure. You'd think a team led by a veteran coach with much as much experience as Phil Jackson and a player with as much playoff success as Kobe would respond differently. Apparently not.
