I wish they had started a fresh story line instead of continuing from last season, which continued the first season.

I knew something was coming but the snake still made me jump.

Wrapped up the season, enjoyed it.

Going to start listening to the the next book that one review recommended that likely follows where things will go from here if it's renewed. I'll spoiler the name in case any book readers don't want any potential direction the finale takes unspoiled if you haven't watched it. I wouldn't read the synopsis either until you finish this season.

I really hate how the Bosch/LL series pick pieces of stories which as a reader, I view as a complete whole.

Season 3 was supposed to be based on Gods of Guilt. I can't keep all the books straight so they may have borrowed stuff from other books as well.

Gods of Guilt is a great book

Bosch shows up in a couple of them, I can't recall if you need the Bosch stories for the intersection to make sense. The two are half brothers. I have read all of them in order.

Not the half brother in the Lincoln Lawyer show. The TV show ignores that part of the books.

I was never a fan of the lead actor, not sure why. I'll be giving it a go at some point though for sure. Nice to know that if it clicks I've got almost 70 episodes to enjoy.

Titus Wulliver was a character actor until Bosch, so you may not have liked his character (including Lost) from time to time. Bosch is his signature role and I can't imagine a better choice. Also Maddie, his daughter, is a grerat dynamic.
