Last night my Motorola boxes were updated and now I have Total Home DVR. On a non-DVR box I can look at my list of recorded TV on the DVR. I can only play them, no delete, no "keep until", only play. Once playing I can FF, REW, replay, skip forward and pause. The controls are slighly more sluggish on the 1200 boxes than they are on the DVR directly, but I expected that. Since the 1200 box has no disk space to buffer I can't pause live TV but I couldn't do that before either.

I'm sure it's not the experience that everyone wants, but it's a good start in my opinion.
