That antenna in my attic, aimed at my primary stations yielded 94-100% on all but one channel (It is 85).
I also used it outside with similar success. It is not unattractive and mounts via a satellite type arm. I know you don't want to add anything to the balcony, but this isn't too big and has really worked great for me and my 722's.
