Folks, what are the chances one can one hone in Telstar 12 15W from Rochester NY with a Fortec 33"?

The elevation would be 11 degrees, so if you have LOS, it might be doable.

Power may vary between transponders (meaning you might get some but not others).
But from a look at the map , any transponder on the Americas antenna would be worth a try.

im in rhode island..can get it with no problem...nothing really worth watching for me..but you can get a pretty strong signal on it..i use a 3 footer

Three footer here too. Just blind scanned it and noticed a Bulgarian TV channel, not sure if its new but I haven't noticed it before.
11805V SR 7596 is the strongest transponder I get from that satellite, it booms in pretty good, there are several transponders on that bird I get signal from but not quite enough to lock.

by all means if you have a good view, I'd try and aim it there.

I can get Hispasat in Minnesota at a 9 elevation. Other than PressTv the rest are not in English but its fun to see beisbol from Cuba
