Abstract: Equipment manufacturers are ready to supply analog-to-digital-TV converter boxes for as little as $67 and a DTV set for under $300 if Congress will just set a hard date for the transition.

Seeing how the majority have cable or satellite then wouldn't their boxes that are already digital being converted to analog be considered in the transition? If that is the case from what I have read on the forums before then I do not see a lot of the people going out to buy a DTV just to switch over to digital but to wait until their tv goes bad or if they want a bigger one.

Yeah I think there's only less than 10% that are still using over the air analog viewing, the whole thing is silly to me.
