Tech Tips with Mark MacDonald
If the next time I see this guy is on my 100th birthday, it'll be too soon! I do not need him to tell me the difference between CRT, LCD, and plasma, or that digital broadcasts aren't necessarily in HD. Really. If I'm curious about such things I'll investigate them on my own - and likely in more depth than a 30 second spot repeated a million times a day can offer. To someone like myself who watches an awful lot of these HD Cinema movies, it is amazing how many times I've seen this dude while waiting for a movie to start. Please, please, please get him off my t.v. -- I'll bet there there won't be any protests at all if Tech Tips just sort of goes away. At least stop showing them so damn frequently.
Maybe between movies they could just show previews? I caught a deal today where they showed some high def ads for The Bourne Identity, Collateral, and The Manchurian Candidate and that wasn't so bad. Of course, I did see it twice -- but at least I'm not sick of it yet.
Or maybe steal a couple animated shorts form Animania and run those - kinda like movie theaters did in the old days. Or how 'bout a video or two from Rave? Or anything in the world other than Tech Tips? Really. Please?
