Thanks for the story; not sure why it redirects to a 'my.earthlink' URL, but I have added another URL that it seems all the other stories claim as the original press.

It is very interesting that a company that filed a patent in 2006 is suing a company that developed the product before that? I am very interested in how this is going to play out -- especially since Sony can simply buy out the company if they percieve this to be a problem -- ala M$. These two companies are more alike then we think.

Actually the patent was filed in April of 2004.

This is exactly what companies like Target want - be bought. For a premium, of course. :)

Just like SCO thought IBM will buy them.
The "litigation" leadership at SCO very successfully played this "game" at IKON prior to being "elected" to SCO board.

Diogen.

You think they're still drawing a salary at SCO?
Don't know.
Would be really surprised if they don't.
They made their money selling awarded stock in the early stages of the lawsuit when the stock was going up. Not as much as they thought, of course.
And by the time this is over I certainly hope they will be tainted so much, retirement will be the only option left.

Would be interesting to see if they keep their bodyguards.
