After I post a reply, in the bottom right corner, a counter appears that starts at (30) and counts down.

Anyone know what it's for ?

Time left before you can post again aka the anti-spam feature. I like that Tapatalk has added it

It does it uses the time set by each forum. This one 30 seconds, another one I visit has it as a minute

Yeap, that's what it is. I just tried to post two replies very quickly and got a pop-up making me wait....

I keep getting an error message Tapatalk.XML was not imported. Can't connect to the forum with the Satguys app. Scott fixed this once before.
