The issue that I am having with my tailgater is with the motor that changes the angle of the of the dish. The motor tilts the dish all the way up and then keeps running and wont allow the dish to point. I have to take the dish down and take the lid off and push the dish down and then it will work and acquire signal. I have been having to do this the last few times I have tried to use it. Is there a solution to this?

Yes. You need to call king controls before your warranty runs out. Otherwise you buy a new one.
Contacted King and got nowhere. Talked with the tech and told him what was going on and he had no idea why I could get it to work after moving the dish down. He said that there is probably something was going on with the elevation motor but had no idea. Said he would call me back tomorrow after he talked with I guess the other technicians. Hopefully we can get something figured out.
Technically his warranty is void I believe since he took the cover off. I know calling them can be a huge pain. They're not the most friendly people. I'm assuming he's going to need to get a return authorization from them and ship it away to get fixed or replaced. I'm not sure if he'll get lucky enough to have this done for free though.
I still have my Tailgater and it works great. I think I've had mine for four years or so now. Mine only gets used during football season so it should last.
