Tablo Issues

Has anyone been having long wait times on their Tablo unit? I've got mine connected via Ethernet and with plenty of signal from a pair of rabbit ears according to the signal meter on scanning in the channels, but sometimes it seems like I can wait upwards of a minute or so before it will pull up the channel. I wanted a network tuner, and I opted to purchase it since they were on sale during Black Friday. I'm thinking about sending it back. I had the previous generation a few years back, and I sent it back due to some issues with the unit. I'm also having an issue at times when the audio doesn't sync up properly. I've got a Roku 4K unit, so it should have plenty of processing power. (It's not a cheap dongle or anything.) I'm seriously considering returning it since it's still within the holiday return window and just pulling out my Mediasonic box to manually record again.

I got one for Christmas, and don't have any issues with channels loading.

The thing I don't like about it is the channels I want to record (MeTV Toons, Me TV Plus) have no guide data, which makes it useless.

I know other areas have guide data for these channels.

I had the 4 tuner legacy Tablo and now the 4 tuner Next Gen Tablo. I prefer the next gen for picture quality. It is as good as watching it live without compression like the legacy model. Big improvement. When I have trouble with my unit not responding, I easily can reboot it by unplugging the power and plugging back in. Also I reboot my Fire TV it is fed to. I had to do this last night, because I got new Firmware update and it was acting a bit buggy and slow to load a channel or a show so reboot fixed it. I like the interface better on the Nex gen as well. I only paid like $119.00 for my 4 tuner when they ran a sale on it last summer.

Yes, I have long wait times sometimes as well. Connected via ethernet, great signal. I found by rebooting it, it usually clears up. Sometimes I reboot the Fire TV Cube it's connected to as well. I have a fire tv recast and it is much faster to tune channels, but picture quality isn't as good and Amazon doesn't seem to be updating the guide as consistently as they used to. I am keeping my Tablo 4th gen. Got my 4 tuner for $109.95 during the black Friday sales.
