Looks like their trying to move in the right direction.

Minneapolis, including the nearby cities of: St. Paul and St. Cloud
Additional Bay Area cites include: Fairfield, Monterey, Napa, Petaluma, Salinas, Santa Cruz, Santa Rosa and Vallejo
 
Currently, Tmo iPhone users have been limited to 2G or Edge speeds.
... and putting up with it, for the better price.
Think they're stupid enough to charge more for 1900 3G (some call HSPA+, 4G)?

Trouble is, as time has moved on, Straight Talk, an AT&T MVNO, has come on line.
So, Tmobile has to compete with them, too. ;)

Wake me up when Los Angeles goes on line.
I've already got two correct-size sims to try out in a 4 or 4S. :)
