I recently inhereted an FTA setup and I'm having problems picking up anything from Telstar 5/IA 5

I'm using a Winegard DS-2076 dish. Natsat 1000A receiver. LNBF is a PF7500.

My coords are: 47.6 and 117.6. I'm aiming at: 135.2 and 31.7.

I've read the list from http://www.global-cm.net/MPEGlistKuBandUS.html and I've tried using 12152 to tune it in, but I can't get any signal at all (it seems).

I've got great line of sight with the dish, no obstructions at all. I move the dish very slowly and wait for the meter to update on a small tv i have nearby, but I've never seen even a glimmer of signal.

Help, wife is ready to choke me out if I don't get FTA thai tv going :)

are you using a comapas to aim at 135 degrees? if so from the coordinates you gave you need to add 17degrees for magnetic deviation 135+17= 152 deg on a compas. Hope that helps

Using your coordinants and Sadoun's site calculator for fixed dish, I get:
Elevation = 31.8
Azimuth = 153
Skew = -17.8
Hope this help's. Good luck!

OK its a Standard so make sure the L.O. is set to 10750

If your receiver has BLIND SCAN and you feel you are close to a satellite try that!

If you do find any channels let us know and we will tell you what way to move the dish from there!

I see Iceberg beat me to it :)

Make sure you have the skew set correctly, it should be clockwise (from front of dish)
