System Optimization

Today I have started work on optimizing our coding and images so that SatelliteGuys gets to you even faster then ever.

The code optimazation for the most part is done. (A few small tweeks still) but I raised out gtmetrix score up from 71 to 85.

Now I am working on optimizing all the graphics. In my tests to deliver a regular page if I optimized all the graphics it would require 54% less bandwidth to transfer to you, this means faster loading times!

I have done a very small portion of some of the common graphics and will do more tomorrow until all graphics have been optimized.

You can't imagine the amoount of graphics we have after 9 years!

Uploading another bunch now but you guys wont notice anything until I clear the cache on the cloud servers, which will be later on.

Ok all graphics (except avatars and attachments) have been optimized, and the caches have been cleared from the cloud servers, meaning you should see a slight performance boost as now its taking about 47% less bandwidth to send you the same pages.

As an example a graphic that was 250kb in size was optimized and is now 34kb in size, and this is done with no loss in the quality of the image.
