Hi,

I just had to activate a new receiver because my old one broke. Activation seemed to go well and channel are fine, but when I do a system info check, I get the message "Check "Details" for LNB!" and when I check details, I get the message: "LNB Drift Detected..."

What does this mean and should I be concerned?

Thanks,
Dave

But LNB drift is compensated for to some degree in current receivers. It could stay like that for years. I don't think Dish is going to be interested in repair unless it's gotten so bad as to interrupt your viewing.

You do pay the $5.99 DHPP, don't you? If not, you could be hit for the full repair cost.

I do pay the $5.99 fee.
In people's opinion, is it something I should just wait until something goes wrong before I have it checked out, or should I just go ahead and have it checked out right away?
So far, everything seems to be fine.
What exactly does LNB drift mean and how can it affect my viewing?

You can save your self the $5.99 DHPP fee and cancel it and when you need maintenance for which you have to pay you can reactivate the DHPP and you will be good to go.
I had a problem with my switch and the CSR said I should order DHPP and it would cover my problem even though she knew that I already had a problem.
This reduced my bill from $99.00 to $29.00

How did removing a $5.99 fee save you $70
