Sync you Ipod , Question?

Ok My Laptop crash and could not recover , I had to reformat and reinstall and of course lost a few things. I went to apple and reinstalled iTunes and when I hook up my IPOd touch it says ( The Ipod, Mikes IPod is synced with another Itunes library . An Ipod can be synced with only one Itunes library at a time. What would you like to do? ) then below that it says ,( Erase and sync, replace the contents of this iTines libaray. Transfer Purchases copies iTunes store purchases this computer is authorized to play from this ipod to this iTunes libaray.

So does this mean if I sync , will it erase all the music I have on my Ipod touch now? Or will it take the music I have on it and put it on iTunes and then put it back onto my Ipod.

It will erase it! The same thing happened to me and I used this source to recover the music on my ipod. How to get your songs off your Windows iPod - CNET.com

Use EphPod - iPod for Windows (and Linux) :: HOME or something like it to copy all your music back to your computer. Then tell iTunes to erase and resync. Then copy all your music back over to the iTunes folder.
