Syfy has given a 13-episode straight-to-series order to Hunters, a drama series based on the novel Alien Hunter by Whitley Streiber.

Written by Natalie Chaidez (Heroes), the series is based on Whitley Strieber’s best-selling novel Alien Hunter. It chronicles the disappearance of a decorated Philadelphia cop’s wife, which leads him to a secret government unit assembled to hunt a group of ruthless terrorists — shadowy figures that may or may not be from this world.
