 Hi... I've decided to switch from E* to D* and have checked with a couple of places - one is a local dealer and the other is a sponsor of this site.

The local deal will supply a Hughes DVR80 for the DVR
the sponser of this site will supply a D* R10 for the DVR
What are the differences (pros/cons) between these two DVRs' ?

Any input or pointers would be appreciated....
Thanks in Advance!

well I cant give you a breakdown of pro/con of each reciever. I am sorry I know that is what you asked for, but I will tell you the r10 is the one for me I have it now and have never looked back, it is the Directv branded box as you know and it has very smooth guides, and just an all around good machine, alot of people talk about a loss of color error (where the channels you watch go to black and white) I have never seen this, or had problems with my box the 1 and half months I have owned it! good luck in your search, and welcome to D* you will enjoy it, I am sure of that!

Actually I think referencing the link and locking this thread is a better option...Thanks stuart628 and welcome to SatelliteGuys daffy!
