Can I use a 22khz switch after a diseqc switch? I have one line going to one fixed dish now, that is run off one port of a diseqc switch, and I want to add a 2nd dish to that without running another cable back to the switch (I put the switch under the house 2yrs ago, dumb eh). So what I have is 1. fixed dish on AMC5 in one direction from the house, and port2 is fixed on AMC4 dish that is in another part of the yard. I have another one I can hook up that's beside the AMC4 dish, and thought I could switch between those 2 off one line of the diseqc. Wanna put it on AMC6.

yes:

Two LNBs through a 22khz switch,,,,, then over to a single port on a diseqc?
Yes.
Any 22khz switch would work for that.
Restriction: don't be using Universal LNBs and expecting High band. :)

yep that should work fine. As Anole noted, they cant be Universals

I've done it that way a few times

receiver----diseqc port 1--------------22k switch 0k side---lnb 1
---------------------------------------------22k switch 22k side--lnb 2

thought so

Thanks-I thought it would but have never tried it before. If I had all the dishes in one place I wouldn't have gotten complicated, but I'm still using my "dish which can see through trees" on the east side of the house ,haha.
