Surround Sound through a C31-700

Can you run a surround sound system through a C31-700? Possibly using the the USB or digital audio port?

Yes, but it depends on what connectors you have on the surround sound unit.
Can you connect C31 to surround sound to TV all via HDMI?
If not does your surround sound have a digital coax audio connection, or an optical audio connection (you would need an adapter at the C31 to use that)/
If not and your surround sound needs red/white audio, you would need the 10-pin connector adapter on the C31 (make sure you get the COMPOSITE adapter)

Thanks. The surrround system is fairly old, so it needs the red/white audio. Looks like 10 pin is way to go.

very true. And no mode you can use "dance hall, stadium, pro logic" is truly surround sound.

yes, I just got around to seeing the response. The "surround sound" system is only producing "synthetic" surround. But it's better than nothing

If you have a few bucks to spend get yourself a good soundbar. I have a Vizio that puts out terrific 5.1 for less than $250.
