I read on the Metv facebook site that both Superman and Chips are coming to MeTV (assuming Fall schedule)

edit: also read that They are also adding Black Sheep Squadron AKA baa Baa Black Sheep as well

I really love the Superman series with George Reeves.Always got a kick out of it when he would stand there and let the bad guy empty a gun into him then duck when they threw it at him.

Cool !! I loved the old Superman shows! I used to watch CHIPS and EMERGENCY! when I was a bored teenager, haven’t seen CHIPS in decades..

My dad will be thrilled to have Baa Baa Blacksheep. That was one show he asked me to find for him on his Roku. He likes all that old WWII stuff.

And today, they announced the return of Cheers to the MeTV schedule.

Chips has been overdue for a return to broadcast syndication for a long time, it's last known appearances being back earlier in the 2000s on TBS, albeit in an erratic overnight schedule. And Warner's apparent decision not to release it past Season 2 on DVD doesn't help it either.

Going to have to set the receiver up to record chips. :)

I'll have to hook up my converter box. We have metv affiliate on KRBK on 49–2. Sure wish Dish would carry this. Media COM and U-verse do around here I know. Actually, I'd even take a stream of the national feed to watch when I'm at work. :-)

cable has different rules on subchannels than satellite does.
Cable will carry them
satellite will only carry them if
A. They are a network feed (ABC, CBS, FOX, etc)
B. The owner of the "main" station at renewal time says "you HAVE to carry the subchannel or you cant carry the main one"

99 w c band has that channel tune in there. Saved by the bell will be on there also thought you guys would like that.

from seeing posts at metv here is what i came up with
new Shows; The Adventures of Superman, CHiPs, Black Sheep Squadron, The man from UNCLE, and The Andy griffith show..........
returning shows: Cheers and Mission impossible

Here in Springfield MO, we already have the Andy Griffith show on our NBC affiliate ch3. Will we still get the show onmetv? Or how does that work in cases like this? Metv ozarks ch 49-2. Just curious.

I'm a big U.N.C.L.E. fan from way back, so I bought the season 1 and 2 DVDs some time ago. Man, does that show reveal its age! Sexist in a big (a la 60s James Bond) way. Also it was such a low-budget production that a lot of it just doesn't hold up.

IMHO the first two seasons were good; the villains were inventive, the plots were intriguing, and the chemistry between Solo (Robert Vaughn) and Illya (David McCallum) cemented the series. The second season (the first in color) was a little campier than the first, and then the show just slid off the table.
