Superdish HDTV

Can anyone please tell me where I can buy a superdish with a HDTV Lnb?

What do you need one for? Superdishes are obsolete. If you think you'll get "HD" on your tv, just because this dish has an "HDTV" lnb, you are wrong.

I've gotten a few FREE to play with, just by driving around, and knocking on doors of people that aren't using them anymore.

There was an HDTV logo of sorts they used to cover the actual lnb's. There was nothing special about them, they were used to make the lnb's look different. My last superdish was an FSS lnb and two DP duals. All you need to do is match up your current lnb's and switches an you are good to go.

Seeing as you are located in the Pacific NW, I think what you are trying to say is you want a Dish 1000.2. That is the dish that will give you all the SD & HD channels (less internationals) that you are entitled to.

If you also want international programming, you will need the Dish 1000+.

Oh, I didn't know they were obsolete. I'm totally new to HD. I was told in order to get echo 129 which has all HD channels I would need a special dish called a superdish.

So, can I hit 110, 119 & 129 with a Dish 1000.2 or do I use something else?

Thanks for your replies.

Correction.. 129 has most (not all) of your HD channels. And as Iceberg asks, what receiver do you have? It must be a ViP (MPEG-4) receiver otherwise forget about it.

Which MPEG-4 receiver are you using?

129 might be a problem on a Dish 1000.2 in the Pacific NW until the new satellite is up next month.

In regards to this new satellite, will it still be 129?
Yes, Ciel 2 is replacing Echostar 5 at 129W. It should make the Dish 1000.2 the antenna of choice for the Pacific Northwet. Even the lowly Dish 1000 will probably start working again.

Am I detecting a bit of evasiveness in the answering of the receiver type here?

We wouldn't be dealing with a pirate, would we?

You could use an old superdish reflector with the 1000.2 W bracket/arm conversion kit. You'd need an external switch but it will gain you some signal strength over the 1000.2 reflector.

Which SAT should you have with a 722/HD

Combine TV2 with CATV
