Did you already have sunday ticket and called to cancel or did they give you this deal when adding sunday ticket?

Nyrob - did you already have ST and called to cancel it, or was this a new order for it that they gave you the credit on. This is the main thing I'm trying to figure out, since I canceled it without them giving me any offer, and when I called back to re-add it and get the credit, the guy said the credit didnt exist and suggested that maybe I needed to have it already on my account to get it.
I can re-add it and then call again about the credit, but I wanted to make sure my ducks were in a row this time.

There is a Father's Day deal that runs till July 21 for the premier/Sunday Ticket package

Just inquired with a csr..They were clueless about any special..
Im figuring it will be around the 300 dollar range.
Its better than last year when I had to shell out that extra 100 bucks. I dont even remember why?

Oh....i thought he meant new to ST.
He said his contract is up in august....i thought he meant directv contract....guess not.
Last year the extra $99 was for superfan which was HD etc.
No superfan this year as HD etc. is included in ST automatically.
Just this year ST TO-GO is $50 is extra if u want that as its mobile computer/phone capability.
Kinda unbelievable (but par for the course) how they dont know about the fathers day special.
my original call was to cancel the "sunday ticket to go" i never said was canceling sunday ticket, i did tell the rep that the price was out of control and he said i can help you with that and took $20 off my base package for 6 months. I then asked about free hd he said that promo was for new subscribers only but i can give you free hd for one year. I hope this helps

Yeah that helps. Seems like you have to have the ST already on and ask for the credit to get it. Some folks are being offered it at the time of cancellation, but I didnt get it. Guess I'll have to turn it on and then call on monday to get the credit.
Called to cancel the to-go piece and mentioned the overall price of the Ticket and how I'd like to afford that. Even mentioned I had the $20/6 month deal last year. She offered HBO/Cinemax for $10 per month...LOL. No discount offered on the ticket and she just canceled the to-go piece (which I wanted canceled anyway). Guess I'll have to try later for the $20/6 month discount or just cancel the ticket all together. $299.94 is almost $180 more than I paid last year for the package including Super Fan.

I don't want to get to the point where the CSR says you have called x number of times and no you can't get the discount you want.
I look at it this way, They said the ST would be about $ 300 this year, most of us get the SF for another 100 dollars, they gave us the HD for free this year, so that makes it $ 200.
