I have had Direct for only a month and they have called me 3 times offering me the Sunday Ticket for free if I switch to their top package. I'm hoping they will offer me something for the Center Ice though.I guess new customers have nothing to fall back on . I called just once and was told I am too new to get any Sunday Ticket offers
Maybe my mistake was getting the choice ultimate which is basically everything . All movie channels and I want to think that should mean something to them . It is not like they are not making money on me . Maybe I should call back .
I kinda feel like I've already taken on a lot of free giveaways and discounts over the past year. But I really want ST this year I just don't want to pay 
I got NHL CI for free last season for complaining about Versus, +$10 off for 3 months.
Received 5 HD receiver upgrades including 2 DVRs.
Free showtime cinemax and stars for 3 months. And a few other minor discounts and credits.
Just called in to renetions 3 weeks ago and asked about RZC for free without ST, got that too.
11yr customer $225 a month account on auto-pay, clean. I'm probably pushing it, right?

Called again today . They put notes on the account when you call in and for what . THIS time , I actually got an offer . $ 53.99 for 5 months . Eh . Still more than I want to spend as it is not that important . Cool to dind out that I CAN get an offer . $ 50 off is not enough though . Might try again later . Who knows

Third time is the charm here ! Called today . Been a customer for two weeks or so . 1st call , nothing offered to me for Sunday Ticket . 2nd call , I am offered Sunday Ticket for $ 269.00 spread out over 5 months . Today ( 3rd call ) I get moved to Premiere from Choice Ultimate with all movie channels for $ 2.00 extra a month . Keep all my discounts from original sign up PLUS an extra $ 15.00 credit for 5 months PLUS $ 50.00 a month for 5 months for Sunday Ticket PLUS an $ 80.00 one credit . Sunday Ticket is costing me $ 170 spread over 5 months . Still expensive but , with everything offered , I came out very well . Now I get to see the Dolphins play to a 3 - 13 season . WoooHoooo
Great job! But $170 expensive? Really? Have you priced out two half-way decent season tickets and all the associated costs; time, gas, food, beverage, parking and the fact you only get the see your 8 home games for just that one team?

Considering it is not that big of a deal for me , that is why I think it is expensive for ME . I agree that $ 170.00 is a good price for Pro football fans . Very good in fact . I am happy with it though . Directv really helped me out . Awesome !

got a deal yesterday after only getting $270 offer monday.
went with cancel service in the opening promt. got deal of $195 one time payment plus 6 months free Strarz and HD xtras with auto cancel of them.
first year without NFL ST last year since it came out on cband and missed the short cuts the most.

I have been a customer for a few weeks. They have told me time and time again that you can't keep your current discounts if you move to the new Premiere plan they are offering. I signed up under the deal where I get credits for 12 months and then credits for the next 12 months as well. So you may have a different plan that allows you to keep them. I would try to get that in writing from them though. Let me know if you actually see credits on your next bill.

I did get two emails stating that I got a 1 time credit of $ 80.00 and Sunday Ticket added for $250 .00 . I looked at my account and everything is still correct . I think we have the wonderful " IT DEPENDS ON WHOM YOU TALK TO " debacle . Gotta love Directv .

Did you have the deal that has -24 credit for months 1-12, and then I think it goes to -10 for 13-24, free HD for life and 3 mo free Starz/Showtime? That was the deal before 7/21. Since it sounds like you signed up after, I think you would have something different.

They have offered me ST for $200 with To Go thrown in. If I could get Premiere for $2 more/month and get ST for $170 like you did, I would jump for it. I am going to call in to see if there is any chance I can get it.

For the term of the contract . And keep in mind that I had Choice Ultimate and added all the movie channels in . The best thing to do is call them and tell them you do not want the Premiere with Sunday Ticket but , you would like the same type deal without the " Ticket " . They have plenty of ways to get you what you want at a price that is fair . Calling is the best thing to do .
I just called and asked if I would be eligible for any type of discount if I ordered the ST...was told since the season has started, I wouldn't be able to receive the $20 of the regular price. I guess I waited too long:-(
