SUBX1 Boombox PROBLEM (powers down on it's own)

I recently bought a sportster 4 radio and the universal boombox. It worked fine for the 1st 2 weeks. Now after a short time listening, the radio screen shows a Low battery warning(low battery, powering down) message then shuts off. The boombox seems to stay powered on, as the green light stays on, but I can not keep the radio turned on for more than 5 seconds without the low battery indicator popping up and it shutting off. I have it plugged in and am not using the battery feature. Using batteries results in the same problem as well. Circuit City has replaced 1 boombox already, but I"m having the same problem again.

Was wondering if anybody else has had this problem and how they solved it, or if you know of a way to solve it.

As a sidenote: When using the Sportster4 with the car kit, the radio works just fine.

Same problem with subx1

I have the same issue with a Sportster 3 radio. Crutchfield replaced the Subx1 once, but I then had the same problem. I think the issue is with the electrical adapter. I am trying to reach Sirius technical support, but I have been on hold a long while.

jjknap,

The receiver's the problem. After exchanging 3 boom boxes on DEI's advice(they were clueless to the problem as well) and after finding no help here, I opted to exchange the receiver before the 30 days was up. That turned out to be the problem.

A month later, both are still working well together. At least until I post this message>:p
