Subscription requirements

I just signed up and am recieving the HD DVR and the $59.99 package with total choice plus/starz/showtime.
I just called to make sure, but wanted to ask in here...
My only requirement is to keep a basic level of service with DirecTV for the 24 months. At anytime I can actually lower what plan I have and remove any of the premium channels. Is this correct?

Read your contract before you sign it the requirements of the contract are spelled out.

Basically the only requirement is that you keep their Family Choice package (basic level) or above for the 24 months. The Starz and Showtime are given to you for $10 for the first year (a savings of $23/month) and you get the HD package for free for the first year (saving you another $9.99/month). I believe that if you drop the Starz/Showtime combo, you would be dropping this promo price and also have to start paying for the HD service.

Again, a quick phone call to Directv will clear this up.

Also don't forget to add $5.99 for the DVR fee, and $4.99 for any extra receivers that you are getting.
