Is it possible to sign up for an account with only a Canadian address and not give Bell or Star any phone nbr at all? kinda like if you had a cabin on a remote lake, and had no phone svc available.
My northern province frends will loan me an address but they dont want to loan the voice phone nbr. Would my southern province cell number send a red flag? What would happen if i gave them a fax number from my friends location in Canada that is never answered? I would rather not go the voip route.

They do not need a phone number, tell them you either don't have one or use cell only. You will need to limit yourself to 1 or 2 receivers at the very most however.

Have Vonage? If so, get a virtual Toronto number.
Also has the added benefit of making you available to pass location ID calls, allowing more than 1 or 2 recievers
