I have a Triple LNB Dish. I want to connect a RCA DVR and
a H10 HD Receiver. I've been getting conflicting info. I have a
Sat A and Sat B cable currently coming in to my DVR. My 3X4
multiswitch does not work. Also, I'm told I should have 4 leads
coming in (Don't understand). Isn't the 2 sat cables enough
to hook up my receivers together using a multiswitch. Do I need
a different multiswitch (maybe a 5X8 with it's own power)? Does
Direct TV's cabling need to be re-wired? Thanks in advance for
any help.

If you have the 3LNB dish, it has a multi switch built into it. You should have 4 leads coming off of it. Those 4 leads can be hooked up directly to receivers. Do not use any other multi switch unless it is specifically cascadeable.

You cannot use a 3x4 switch with the Phase III dish and have all function properly.
You need 2 rg6 runs to the DVR and 1 rg6 run to the H10.
Your Phase III dish will allow you up to 4 lines of which you need 3 total .
From dish to ground block and then to the receivers.

The DVR will work with only 1 line but you will only be using 1 of 2 tuners in it.

Success!

I simply followed the Direct TV lines in and found an open connector.
ran a cable from there directly into the H10 receiver. Guess I made it harder
than it had to be. Thanks Guys, nice job! :D
