Are the starchoice channels like Discovery, food network, travel channel.
the same like in the dish network. or they are canadian versions of those channels and differ much from what i have been watchin g in dish

They are Cdn versions.

Food Network has pretty much all of the American shows along with many Cdn ones (some are of very high quality). Discovery Canada is more like The Science Channel, but they still have many of the popular shows.

so its not the exact same programming

The news stations are the same (CNN, Fox News, etc)

but due to a little thing called "canadian content" some of the channels have to have a different set of shows.

travel is also much different so no Bizzare Foods...also Food tv Canada shows alot of shows uncut (so if foul language offends you just be warned) becouse they run hells kitchen and ramsays kitchen nightmares and old Gordo gets a bit graphic.
