Has anyone heard any more about upgrading the 360/480 modems for the new Nova's? Starband's website said an upgrade policy would be issued on Dec. 17th, but I haven't seen anything on their website and have waited on hold for forever on their 800 number trying to ask some one.

It's official and ready. customers are reporting that it is relatively painless and bug free.

We are excited to announce a new upgrade program for the newest Nova series – Nova 1000 & 1500!! To accommodate demand, the upgrade program will be based on a phased approach, and starting on January 23, 2008, the program will be marketed to selected 36X, 48X, Nova Pro and Nova Ultimate customers.

Selected customers will have the following upgrade options available:

StarBand 360 Small Office, 480, 481Telecommuter, 484 upgrade to Nova 1500
StarBand 360 Residential and 481Residential upgrade to Nova 1000 or Nova 1500
StarBand Nova Pro upgrade to Nova 1000 or Nova 1500
StarBand Nova Ultimate upgrade to Nova 1500

Customer benefits for upgrading include:

StarBand’s highest-performance broadband Internet access
Upgraded equipment (for 36X and 48X customers)*
New PC professional support services
Simple and fast online ordering process
Easy self-installation with minimal interruption to the existing service
Choice of a 12-month contract, or a 24-month contract with lower monthly pricing

Benefits of this upgrade program for StarBand Dealers include:

· Commissions on MRC for upgrades are based on existing structure in place for these customers

· Seamless process for dealers since customers can upgrade online through the Member Portal

StarBand is currently notifying customers who may upgrade in the first phase of the upgrade program. We will make you aware of which customers take advantage of this special upgrade offer through email notifications sent to your StarBand email address, and through updates to Partner Place profiles

CUSTOMERS ON AMC-4 AND AMC-6 ARE NOT ELIGIBLE FOR UPGRADES AND WILL NOT BE FOR THE FORSEEABLE FUTURE.

If you have a customer who wishes to upgrade before they are advised of the program, please have them go to Welcome To StarBand! Customers will be taken through the upgrade process on line.
