Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens

I just call them 1 through 7 , in chronological order of the story.

The first one being 4. The original was the best of course followed by 5 then 6 (Strikes back and Return) .
I did not enjoy 1 2 or 3 and would not miss them if they had not been made.
Just weird the way the series jumped around chronologically.
They seemed too detached from the others.

So is the new one, number seven, at least as good as 5 and 6 for those who saw it?
or
Better than 5 and 6 (Strikes back and Return)?

I would say the story telling in Episode 7 is as good as any of them. The original trilogy will always be more special because they were the ones that came up with the force, Jedi, the empire, and many of the characters and reasoning behind Episode 7. Plus they pioneered a whole new level of special effects and are the reason many people enjoy science fiction today.

Episode 7 can never live up to all of that simply because it's not the original. It's based on ideas from that trilogy. The special effects are still amazing but movies with great special effects are a dime a dozen these days. That being said, from a pure story standpoint I would put it up there with the original trilogy. I personally like it better than Episode 6 but 4 and 5 are probably still better.
