I went out and bought a Stab HH90 motor, assuming that it would fit the mount for my Alphastar dish. I should have researched further, because the design of the HH90 doesn't allow the factory mount on the Alphastar dish to mount and also have the ability to adjust the angle of the dish. So, it looks like I'm going to have to build some sort of an adapter, or modify the mount on the Alphastar dish so that it will attach to the Stab HH90. Has anybody else run into this situation, and did you find something factory made to attach the reflector, or possibly a home-made adapter? I'm going to tackle attaching the dish to the motor again this upcoming weekend.

not sure... I think they do make things that will fit. I think, if I remember right, there's something like that put out by some company with a name like skywalker or something.

well i seen it in another thread with a Stab 100 but the guy just mounted it right on the motor shaft. but your shaft is pointing downward . from another thread i see someone mounted it
--removed the mounting bracket from the dish
--flipped it
--remounted the bracket to the dish
--and sleeved the pole with a piece of pvc pipe clearing the bolt tighting areas so it would tighten up.

If the Alphastar dish was attached to a pole, it should attach to the Stab HH90. Since the HH90 points downward (usually), you might would have to turn the dish reflector upside down (or 180 degrees) on it's mount. But, if the mount, mounted some type of pole, it should attach to the HH90. At least I would think so? I've never seen an Alphastar dish or mount, so maybe I'm wrong?

Edit: My slow typing is catching up to me again. What Gabshere says in the above post is what I was getting at...

The mount on the Alphastar dish is very similar to ExpressVu, DirecTV, Dishnetwork type setups. You would think that it should mount OK. It's pretty close, but the mount on the dish hits the motor on the HH90. I see that Sadoun includes the bracket that I need with their dishes that they sell. I've looked at the pictures on their site and have gotten some ideas on how I can modify the Alphastar dish mount. Since I got this dish for free, even if I spend a few dollars to modify the mount, I'm doing OK.
