"Sprint Nextel has given its assent to Dish Network's plans to acquire 40 MHz of S-band satellite spectrum in the 2 GHz band, and said that Dish's proposed LTE-Advanced network for that spectrum will not interfere with Sprint's operations on its adjacent 1900 MHz PCS spectrum, according to FCC filings. The position is a reversal from Sprint's initial opinion of Dish's plans."

Hmmm - complete turnaround, some type of collaboration to take place?

Maybe ... Sprint is desperately trying to get (any form) of LTE right now. They thought they could go with LightSquared ... but that got put on ice ... they have just dumped a bunch of money into Clearwire ... so by giving Dish the green light ... Sprint may have an attitude "I don't care who, just somebody get there so I can use it."

If you want to use Rain-X to fight snow on your dish, act soon.
