Good luck finding a tower...it's also deployed where I work in the Washington DC and surround area, but the number of towers are few and far between. I can metro through more than three-quarters of the city still connected 3G. I work on Capitol Hill/Mall area and no LTE---heck, I couldn't even get WiMax---and with the summertime tourist dotting the mall a fair number of calls fail and it's not unusual to get 30Kb data download speeds. If there's one place that could benefit from 4G/LTE it would be this part of the city.
Sprint's deployment of WiMax was painfully slow and LTE is ever slower IMO. When it works, it's great! However, the coverage is so spotty that it is practically useless if you're using your phone while mobile. Just find a 4G and pull-over because you're going to lose the signal in a couple blocks.
