It's official: Sprint's HTC EVO 4G will get Froyo starting next week.

Nice I got froyo 2.2 on my Sprint TP2 right now.. smooth and fast

You can manually load it right now since an unofficial version was leaked yesterday. HTC took it down and they are advising to wait, and I think I'll do that, but the update file is out there if you look for it on various websites.

It's only a few more days and I'd rather put the official version on and not have to worry if it's going to brick my EVO.

Froyo (Android 2.2) is officially available for an OTA update. My EVO is just finishing the update now.
