I’m not really liking how all the Social Influencers have all been combined into one Super Forum. I liked it better when each Influencer was organized by their own channel.

This way it’s much easier to ignore all of the influencers

Considering how I was snapped at last time about this, not sure I should bring it up, but again, just want to point out the DirecTV General Forum has not had a new post since May 21, the tech forum since May 22.

They really should all be combined like the Dish Network Forum, which has a lot more posting activity .

That is totally ignoring the Cutting Edge forum by the way.

Again things are staying the way they are there for now.

I do expect changes but not now.

If you need me to remove those forums from your view just let me know and I can turn them off for you.

True if you want to ignore all of them it is easy. Unless I'm missing something though it appears to be impossible to get notifications from just one or two that you like since they are all lumped into a single forum.

Couldn't we still have the dedicated social influencers forum but with each influencer having their own sub-forum? In this way we could receive notifications for just the ones we actually like.

If we did that it would ad 12 or 13 additional forums for each one.

I do think it will become easier over time, as the system sucked all of the last 20 videos each one has done at once when I added them last night. Once the regular flow starts it should be better.

But when I started this topic, I was looking for feedback and the feedback I got was to combine them together. So I did as asked.

That is not the forum, that is an ad letting people know we have an Electric Car forum as part of the Pub Membership.

That's true about the Electric Car forum, but the "Pub Members Electric Vehicle Showroom" I can see and view all the posts in the forum. As well, I see new posts to it when I check "What's New".

Yes, I saw the 5 page deluge of notices for content from ALL the influencers. Hopefully it will get easier as you say. Otherwise I will be putting that forum on ignore. I really don't want to do that as I like Antenna Man and Lon.tv but if it comes to it...

I don't see them either. Previous and Next page are there but only the "Similar threads" appear now.

I think that may have been a Xenforo change.

The next and previous feature use to be done by an add on. However it is now built into the software by default.

I removed the plugin the other day when cleaning up (we had a number of plugins that were no longer needed as the features are built in.) and did not know it needed special usergroup permissions for the users to see. (I could see them fine on my account so I ASSumed everyone else could see them as well.)

All fixed.

Just spotted the rearrangement of the forums. I'd be okay with you collapsing the RabbitEars Site Support forum into the larger OTA forum given how little use it gets.

This forum has TEN sticky threads with the newest one having been posted in 7 months ago, next newest is 16 months ago... and newest after that is nearly 5 years. One of the sticky posts hasn't had anything posted in 12 years. Most forums look like they should have the sticky posts reconsidered.​

Computers and Gadgets

Similar sticky problem, just fewer of them. One of them no new posts in over 11 years, so probably not really serving as much of an 'ipad owners thread' at this point.​

Neither of these forums need any sticky posts if they're not going to be active, let the active discussions live at the top. Most of these are from when Poke was spamming the forums nonstop with news (which is why I stopped reading any of those, tbh)​

What To Watch (TV Shows, Movie Talk) + SatelliteGuys Hometown Discussions?

IMO What to Watch could reasonably go away and TV and Movie discussions could be part of the Hometown Discussion group of forums. These evergreen subjects would probably perform closer to the fold rather than at the bottom, too.​

The social media stuff shouldn't be as high in the list, but get the feeling there are other priorities and personal preferences there. Personally I'd put that whole section at the bottom of the list, promote the rabbitears link in the description of Over the Air Television By RabbitEars.Info (preferably combine those in some form / sub-forum setup, cross-promote the sections via forum descriptions and sticky posts, etc), but guessing they're that way for a reason. Would then promote and link to the Solidsignal blog in the description of the Television Signals section.

I've suggested some of these before, just realized, went and re-read them, hah.

SIte structure questions

Some of these are short and terse, don't mean to slight any move or direction, just wondering why some things are set up this way. Movie talk has a Now Playing subforum, seems redundant. Neither Movie Talk or the subforum have much activity. Shouldn't this be a single forum, and anything that...

I never look at stickies, and am embarrassed about how many old stickies there were.

Cleaned that up.

Not bad ideas. Anyone have any feedback on those ideas?
