Spliter and box question

Today, we just got rid of our oldest TV ever from Montgomery Ward, and we are not left with the D11-800 box without a TV in that room.


I already have a D12 box in my room for the TV. I was wondering if I could put the D11-800 box in my room and hook it up to my computer.

Can I split this line with a 5-1000mhz splitter? -3.5db out?

Could I use the USB port on the D11 box?

Splitters are a no-no with sat signals. You'll need a separate line from the dish or multiswitch. What dish do you currently have?

Also, no, you cannot pass the signal to your PC via the USB. You have to get a "video in" card/adapter for your PC.
