splice cable dvr 522 receiver

I want to move my receiver to the other side of the room. What materials will I need and where can I get them? I want to do this myself to save cost. I need some cable and then splice it b/c the technician didn't give me any slack with the initial install.

I'm new to satellite signals so bear with me. Is it just a standard coaxial cable?

well if you have a wall plate just connect the coax from there to your receiver

remember get rg-6 coax

and if its not a wall plate make sure u get high frequency barrels you will know which ones they are they have the blue center


oh and you can get those materials at any hardware store ie: home depot, menards, lowes etc . . .
